Indigo 7.4 and insteon Hub Pro on same network

Unfortunately I put a the Insteon Hub Pro model 2243-222 on my same network that i have Indigo 7.4. I realized i was having duplicate commands being sent out so I removed the Hub, thinking my Indigo 7.4 Mac client would operate like it did before . No chance. Is there anyone who can help me get rid of these duplicate commands? Hopefully a copy of my log file that is attached will help explain what i did to my setup that has worked for years without issues

What specifically is not working? Let's break down the problem to a specific case so we can troubleshoot that. The Event Logs look fine to me – your interface is online and the commands are being sent to the modules.

Re: Indigo 7.4 and insteon Hub Pro on same network

using the commands sent to "covered Porch" as an example, there should only be one command per day to turn on the lights, same for turning them off.
At 17:24:04.693 the command was sent to turn these lights on at 30%. This is correct and is from Indigo 7.4 Mac client
At 17:52:31.668 the command was sent to turn on lights to 100%. This is from the Insteon Hub i disconnected because I don't want to use the Hub pro anymore as its sending addition commands

Until i added the hub, (don't ask me why i added it) my setup using only the Mac client worked perfectly

Here are the log lines you are talking about:

Event Log wrote:
2019-11-26 17:24:04.464 Schedule Landscape Lights on
2019-11-26 17:24:04.693 Sent INSTEON "Covered Deck" on to 30
...
2019-11-26 17:52:31.450 Schedule Covered Deck On
2019-11-26 17:52:31.668 Sent INSTEON "Covered Deck" on to 100

Both of those commands are being sent by Indigo (not by the Insteon Hub). The first one is part of the Landscape Lights On schedule in Indigo and it looks like the one at 17:52:31.668 is from the Covered Deck On schedule. Neither of those are from the Hub though, so if you don't want that second command then you can remove the Action from the Schedule (or just delete the Schedule if that is the only action in it).

There are some incoming commands showing the Covered Deck is being turned On or Off. Those are shown as "Received Insteon" in the Event Log. Those might be cause by that module being turned on/off at the module itself, or they might be related to the Insteon Hub.

What I'm confused about though is this from your original post:

What do you mean by "no chance?" What occurred when you removed the Hub? How is it not working? With the Hub unplugged only Indigo is sending commands to control modules (unless you have links between modules), so if there are commands that you won't want to occur then they should all be editable from Indigo's Schedules and Triggers.

Re: Indigo 7.4 and insteon Hub Pro on same network

To simplify using "Covered deck" on and off as examples, before i added the insteon hub, Covered Deck On turned my lights on at sunset to 30%. After adding the Hub, I get a second command to turn concerned deck on to 100%. Same happens to "front porch on" and "movie room on"

All of these rooms have a command to turn off at certain scheduled times as well but since the addition of the hub, when I get up in the morning al these rooms are still on at 100%

I added the hub to control certain lights with my Logitech Harmony Elite tv remote while watching tv. It worked but screwed up my schedule.

I removed hub and thought all would go back to normal where only two commands (on at 30%, off at programmed time) would work like before i added hub. Thats what i meant by "no chance" in previous post

I deleted all of my schedules, then recreated from scratch. I'll see if that works tonight.

You can use the LIFX Bridge plugin to control Indigo devices from a Harmony remote.

My deleting and recreating all my schedules didnt work. Lights on covered deck came on at 100% some time during the night last nigt and stayed on. same with front porch light. Your thoughts?

Post the Event Log from last night. The Event Log shows exactly what commands Indigo is sending and what commands it is receiving.

Are you sure you are trying to email the right file? The files you shared in your original post above are tiny (2KB), so I'm surprised the one from the other day is 780KB. Regardless, you can just email it to us if you want to instead of posting it here.

Re: Indigo 7.4 and insteon Hub Pro on same network

Okay, I pulled out of the log all of the on/off/brightness commands both sent to and received from the Covered Deck device:

Code: Select all
2019-12-20 00:00:00.188   Schedule   Deck Outlet On
2019-12-20 00:00:01.049   Sent INSTEON   "Covered Deck" on to 30
...
2019-12-20 04:58:46.622   Received INSTEON   "Covered Deck" off
...
2019-12-20 17:33:03.733   Schedule   Covered Deck On
2019-12-20 17:33:03.950   Sent INSTEON   "Covered Deck" on to 30
...
2019-12-20 19:54:52.034   Received INSTEON   "Covered Deck" off
...
2019-12-20 23:23:00.623   Schedule   Covered Deck Off
2019-12-20 23:23:00.846   Sent INSTEON   "Covered Deck" off

Based on that you have two Schedules (Deck Outlet On and Covered Deck On) that both turned the module on to 30%. So Indigo never sends a command to that module to 100%. If the module is going to 100% then some other module or controller is doing it, or the module is malfunctioning (unlikely since you have the same issue with the front porch).

Do you still have the Insteon Hub plugged in to an outlet? If so I'd definitely unplug it, as it is the most likely culprit to be sending the commands.

Re: Indigo 7.4 and insteon Hub Pro on same network

thats the thing, i unplugged the hub right away before i ever posted on the forum
I happened to be awake at midnight last night and saw this happen. From new log file

Dec 22, 2019 at 12:00:00 AM
Deleted old log file "2019-11-23 Events.txt"
Created new log file (Indigo Server version 7.4.0)
Schedule Deck Outlet On
Sent INSTEON "Movie Room" on to 30
Sent INSTEON "Covered Deck" on to 30
Sent INSTEON "Front Porch" on to 30

Not on any schedule either. these are the problem commands. Happens every night at midnight
