announcement backlog when Mac external monitor is sleeping.

I'm just back from being on holiday for a few weeks during which time no-one was directly using my Indigo-hosting Mac.

On return, there was a backlog of Indigo voice announcements (alarm armed etc) spurted out by my Mac when I first logged on. I notice this backlog of announcements can also occur to a smaller degree whenever the screen is asleep (obviously the Mac mini hosting indigo is configured to not sleep itself).

Is this unavoidable behaviour? (Can you force an announcement even when the screen has gone to sleep?) I'm using the Mac's internal speaker (not the screen's) so I'm not clear why this is occurring.

If you have the Mac on the login screen via fast user switching, any audio is blocked. Apparently, the OS caches any text to speech and then performs it all once you're back to a logged in user account. I don't think there's anything to be done about that, at least from Indigo's side.
