Schlage Locks

I have two Schlage Connect locks which have been working perfectly for years.

In the past few days, they have both stopped working in the same way. That is, Indigo can see them, lock, them and unlock them, as can Alexa.

The problem is that they do not react to any of these commands. I have excluded them, and included them with encryption multiple times. They sync normally. But neither of them will either physically lock or unlock.

Any suggestions?

Re: Schlage Locks

Absolutely. But it's kinda hard to believe two locks fail in exactly the same way at the same time.

Also, I'm getting messages in the log that Indigo is getting encryption errors. I've asked Schlage if there's a firmware upgrade, but no answer so far.

Thanks

Re: Schlage Locks

If your Mac is a laptop, then I would move it to be next to the locks and try excluding/re-including/res-syncing with it next to the lock.

Note that normally if Indigo can send Lock/Unlock commands without errors but the lock doesn't physically move it means the encryption keys between the lock and Indigo are not matching. This can happen if the lock isn't excluded. Factory resetting the lock first might also help (check its manual to see if there are steps).
