Vera Bridge Plugin use beyond Indigo 2022.2?

Most of my home automation devices are managed using an Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5 controller, but I have a detached garage and the Z-wave network does not reach there, so I use a Vera device (attached via ethernet) and Indigo's Vera Bridge Plugin to reach the far-away devices. The Vera Bridge Plugin is flagged in the Plugin Store and will likely not work beyond Indigo 2022.2.

Question: Is there an easy way to ensure the Vera Bridge Plugin remains active after the next software update? And if not, Is there a way to extend Indigo's reach to an entirely different building-- possibly a second computer (in the detached garage) running Indigo that interfaces with the primary?

I'm afraid of the next Indigo update.

Cheaper than a 2nd computer, and with a up to date plugin would be a Hubitat hub.

Never heard of that one-- I'll do some exploring. It's likely time to retire my Vera devices and move on to something newer-- with an up-to-date plugin. Thank you!

I second that! Hubitat has integrated zwave and zigbee so allows integration of zigbee devices with Indigo

So now I'm curious. I, too have an external garage that is hardwired with ethernet back to the house. I'm assuming I could connect this device via ethernet in the external garage, and Indigo "sees" this device and whatever Z-Wave devices are included with it?

Not exactly. The Hubitat can publish status updates for it's own devices via MQTT, which the Indigo plugin can then use to update Indigo devices. And send commands back to the Hubitat devices, all via MQTT. So Indigo doesn't see the remote devices directly, but the plugin can create "proxy" devices for them.
