GoPrism Working?

ADMIN NOTE: Note we have decommissioned the use of the goprism.com domain for reflectors. Reflectors should now be accessed via indigodomo.net (ex: myhome.indigodomo.net).

Hey,

Been trying since last night to get my control pages to fully load thru Prism. I say fully because the text loads just fine,
but no images. I previewed the pages from Indigo in Safari and all loads fine. I've tried many different browsers,
iPods and iPads with the same no load result. Any ideas?

Forgot to mention the pages also load fine from iPod touch.

Thanks,

Carl

Re: GoPrism Working?

I'm not seeing any issue. Is it still not working?

Re: GoPrism Working?

Yep, just tried it again on a number of machines and it's still just loading the text, no images.
Curious how that's even possible.

Re: GoPrism Working?

Have you tried:

1) totally turning off your OS X firewall

2) restarting your Mac

Re: GoPrism Working?

I've always had the firewall turned off. I did try a fresh boot but no go.

Re: GoPrism Working?

Press the settings button inside Indigo Touch. What version of Indigo Touch does it show?

Re: GoPrism Working?

It's 1.6.0 but control pages load just fine in both my iPod and iPad.

Re: GoPrism Working?

Very strange, since GoPrism just reflects all the Indigo Web Server traffic (it doesn't differentiate between HTML and images at all).

Are there any errors in the Event Log?

Re: GoPrism Working?

No, nothing unusual at all in the event log.

Again, the control page preview in the Indigo editor loads perfectly in Safari.

I just noticed in the status bar across the bottom of the Safari page showing
it's continually counting up trying to load the elements. It seemingly just keeps
going up til you close the page.

Re: GoPrism Working?

Hi Carl,

Do the icon images on the main page load correctly (the Devices lightbulbs, Actions gears, etc.)? That is, do all images fail to load or just the ones on graphical Control Pages?

What happens if you access it via GoPrism but use HTTP instead of HTTPS in the URL?

That likely isn't the problem. The Control Pages use AJAX polling to automatically provide updates to controls, so depending on the browser it can show that it is continuously loading like that.

Re: GoPrism Working?

The icons on the original read me control page all seem to load correctly.

Re: GoPrism Working?

I think we'll have to take this one off-forum to troubleshoot. Send me an email at indigo-support AT perceptiveautomation.com.

Re: GoPrism Working?

For some reason a major search engine sent me to this thread when I attempted to figure out why my Indigo Reflector wasn't working. I figured I'd post something here in case that happens to someone else. Sorry this isn't the best place for this info, I'm sure, but Google thinks it is.

I was unaware that "goprism.com" is no longer a thing, at least in the context of indigo reflectors. Must have missed an email. It is now "indigodomo.net". To fix this in Indigo Touch, you must add a new server with the indigodomo.net domain name.

The error message in the Indigo Touch mobile app seemed to indicate that I was connecting to a server at (myalias).goprism.com, as I have for years, but it either wasn't an indigo server or was an indigo server at some unsupported revision level. My Indigo server is up to date, and the usual jiggling of handles did not solve the problem. I only discovered the truth when I visited GoPrism.com with a web browser. Manually adding a new server "(myalias).indigodomo.net" and deleting "(myalias).goprism.com" solved the problem. The fix is simple, but finding it was hard for me, thus this post.
