Reflector Starts then shuts back down

My reflector seems to be shutting itself off consistently after about a minute.

When I re-start the server it comes back but only for less than a minute.

It seems to have occurred once I upgraded to Indigo 2022.2.2

My server is a late 2014 Mac Mini running Monterrey 12.6.2

On your Indigo Server Mac try to access the following URL from Safari:

http://localhost:8176/prismstatus

what happens? Also open the Event Log window and copy/paste its contents into a reply for us.

I get a "Safari Can't Connect to The Server" Error

Safari can't open the page "localhost:8176/prismstatus" because Safari can't connect to the server "localhost".

Log entries don't seem to show anything significant (to me anyway!)

Have you upgraded your Mac to a new operating system or moved Indigo to a new Mac?

Restart your Indigo Server, let it run for a minute or two, then paste in any errors you see.

Hi Jay.... only change in the environment was upgrading to Indigo 2022.2.2

If so, then the problem is your Mac has become misconfigured and "localhost" doesn't route back to itself as it should. Note the file /etc/hosts should have this in it:

Do you have multiple network interfaces enabled? Ethernet AND WiFi, for instance?

Turns out I had both Wired & Wi-Fi interfaces activated *and* my hosts file was blank. *How* it got blanked out is a mystery!

I edited the hosts file to defaults and turned off the wireless interface.

The boat seems back to an even keel now.
