Re: Reflector down

Hi Mike – so it is up and working now? If not, explain in detail what you are seeing (copy/paste Event Log, etc.) and we'll help troubleshoot further.

Re: Reflector down

Matt,
Well I was too optimistic when I said the Indigo was back up. After doing a clean install of Indigo with my original database added back in, it seem bed to be running until I discovered that It lost any reference to my previously installed plugins. When I reinstalled the HueBridge plugin Alexa could no longer discover any Indigo "devices" and the Harmony plugin seemed not to be working among others.

Just a week ago Alexa stopped working with Indigo for no apparent reason. I first worried that Amazon had finally updated my Gen 1 device. It turned out that they had done that but it was to a level that you and others had found still worked. So I spend a couple of hours unplugging and deregistering 10 Echo devices. Registering the Gen 1 and "bang" Alexa discovered 137 devices. Then I learned that all 100 of my Alexa Routines had forgotten their connections to those 137 devices. Wonderful :( So another couple of hours going back through every Routine and adding back Indigo devices.

Now back to the current problems. Where does Indigo store information on installed plugins? It seems not to be in the database. If it's some file could I add it back in from that file on a back up drive?

If I need to download and reinstall the 8 or so plugins I use, will the database remember all of the virtual devices they previously created? Or will I have to recreate all of those as well?

And now to repeat the Alexa deregister/reregister drill.

Re: Reflector down

/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7.4/Plugins

That’s the plugins themselves.

The /Preferences folder in the same place has all plugin preferences (Plugin menu > Plugin name > configure plugin)

The devices will all be in the DB and will have restored, but will state “Plugin missing”

Re: Reflector down

So if I use copies of 7.3/Plugins and preferences will that work in my new 7.4 installation?

Re: Reflector down

Be sure and stop the Indigo Server before copying the files over.

Re: Reflector down

Well, after all the adventure of getting back up after a clean install I sent my system this URL:

https://b*c*.indigodomo.net/variables/m ... value=true

and received the error message that the reflector is down. It doesn't seem to be down because control pages are working on iPads and iTouch is working on my iPhone.

Re: Reflector down

If you’re at home, your iPad/iPhone will be using the local Mac name to access Indigo - the reflector is only needed if you want to access Indigo when you’re at work etc.

Go to the Indigo 7.4 menu > Start local server.

That will bring up the details of your local server including whether your reflector is activated or what state it thinks it’s in.

Your reflector does appear to be down. If you've just started over, you may need to Reset your Reflector's Activation.

Re: Reflector down

I don’t see the reset link option next to my activation status which says activated. The URL still returns reflector down
