Remote access without Prism?

If I know my IP address, can I configure Indigo Touch to connect with Indigo without the Prism service?
Currently running Indigo 6 Pro.
Thanks

Yes. You'll probably need to set up port following on your router to forward port 8176 to your Indigo server's internal address.

Also, you should know that traffic sent directly to Indigo is not encrypted. if that's a concern, then Prism is the easiest alternative. (Running your own VPN is a somewhat more difficult alternative.)

Re: Remote access without Prism?

I did this for quite a while, and in fact I'm still doing it in some cases on some devices.

I highly recommend something like dyndns or No-IP.com unless your ISP gives you a static IP address.

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.
