[RESOLVED]: Prism Reflector down?

We are unable to get onto indigodomo.net this morning... I immediately remembered that on Sept. 3rd they would be switching to a pay system... so I dusted off paypal and paid our $29.95 for a year subscription... it's still not working.

Not sure what the issue is, the devices simply say "Service Unavailable Connection to Indigo Server failed: xxxxxxxxx.indigodomo.net " OK.

Anyone else have prism vanish? I'm not at home and unable to log onto my mac mini server at the moment. Would be nice to have a website to check prism system status to see if it's working.

Re: Prism Reflector down?

We have not yet disabled trial reflectors, so the problem you are seeing isn't related to that.

Connectivity on our seems to be okay. I just tested a few reflectors and they were all accessible, and the connected reflector count hasn't had any irregular drops in overall count in the last 24 hours.

Which device says that: a Web browser? Indigo Touch?

What happens if you try to access the main reflector Web site from a browser:

http://***.indigodomo.net/

Re: Prism Reflector down?

Indigo Touch. Devices affected are my iPhone, spouses iPhone, and my ipad. I'm not able to login from work due to military contractor restricted access limits (my job is designing electronics for defense). But, when I go to "indigodomo.net" using safari on the ipad I'm using now, it says "Reflector connection is currently down."

I may need to wait till this evening and restart my server connection at home.

Thanks for help.

Re: Prism Reflector down?

Yeah, sounds like the connection tunnel between Indigo Server on your Mac and our hosted server has dropped. Indigo Server tries to rebuild that every 15 minutes if it ever fails, so something is preventing it from reconnecting. Possibilities would be ISP connectivity issue, router/cable modem issue, Mac freeze/failure, or some type of Indigo problem.

Let us know what Indigo's Event Log shows once you get access into it again...

Re: Prism Reflector down?

Thanks. I'll look at it this evening. Would not be the first time comcast has up and quit....that's my bet. Let you know what I find. Thanks again.

Re: Prism Reflector down?

When I converted to paid, the reflector didn't pick up right away. So I restarted the server, and then tried rebooting but that didn't help. I didn't even have access on my LAN.

Next thing I knew, it was working again, so I chalked it up to impatience and/or me not following directions--both of which are highly likely...

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Re: Prism Reflector down?

As promised, I mentioned I'd report the issue... my UPS that is holding up the power on my Mac Mini is getting old... something tripped the power on it and it did some kind of auto shutdown. It was found beeping in distress. Pressing reset on the UPS rebooted the Mac Mini. There was never an issue with prism and I was falsely thinking there was due to the unfortunate date and switchover to subscription, without me being home to diagnose the problem. Subscription reflector prism is working perfectly. Thanks for the support.

I would apologize to Comcast too... except they really don't give me the best experience. :)

Re: Prism Reflector down?

Eak. Sorry about this folks. Not a very graceful end to the beta. Apparently shutting down the cancelled reflectors last night crashed the server (of course it worked fine during our testing though).

Anyhow, we'll have it back up and working momentarily.
