Error message ...

SInce upgrading to Indigo 2022.1, I get this log message:

failed to create reflector connection: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2022.1/Preferences/PrismReflector/id_rsa.pub' Warning reflector reconnection scheduled in 15 minutes

I have checked all file/folder authorization and all users are allowed. The Indigo group created with the help of Matt is allowed as well.

The IndigoServer has also begun to crash again very often. See the crash report here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u8c6ye6vr5g7k ... t.pdf?dl=0[/

Please help.

Re: Error message ...

Rerun the Indigo 2022.1 installer - it looks like something didn't go right. Make sure you're running the installer from an admin enabled account and that it's the account that you're starting the server from.

[MODERATOR NOTE]: Moved to the correct forum since the question is about Indigo Reflectors.

Re: Error message ...

If the installer re-run doesn't help then in the Terminal app, from the macOS user account under which you start the Indigo Server, do the following commands and copy/paste the result into a reply:

Code: Select all
cd /Library/Application\ Support/Perceptive\ Automation/
cd Indigo\ 2022.1/Preferences/PrismReflector
ls -al
echo
id
echo
chmod ugo-x *
chmod o-rwx *
chmod g-rw id_rsa
ls -al
id

Re: Error message ...

Hello, Matt,

Just back from vacation. Excuse the delay.

Indigo 2022 was already installed, but as Jay suggested, I made a fresh install. IndigoServer still crashes.

See the crash report at this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/moxizyl3bypfq ... .docx?dl=0

Am I wrong to say that the crash report still dispalys a IndigoServer 2021 version ?

I did the Terminal trick and here are the result (chinese to me):

Last login: Tue Aug 16 08:07:27 on console

The default interactive shell is now zsh.
To update your account to use zsh, please run `chsh -s /bin/zsh`.

Re: Error message ...

The crash report is indeed showing version 2021 and not 2022. Make sure you have Indigo 2022 running (not 2021), and also try restarting your Mac. Lastly, you can try uninstalling 2021 to make sure it doesn't get started somehow (and then reboot again).

Re: Error message ...

Matt,

I installed the Indigo 2022 version twice ... on the user where the IndigoServer is running.

Why is the 2021 still showing up ?
How do I uninstall the 2021 version without loosing my data ?

Re: Error message ...

Something is causing it to launch. Just delete this file and it won't be able to launch (then reboot your Mac):

/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2021.1 (or .2)/IndigoServer.app
