A little help trying to understand

I am on the network that my network is on so of course I can access the server. But when someday I am far away with my laptop what goes in the box next to connect to remote Indigo Server?

If you have a static internet IP address, you would use that. If your computer is connected to the internet with a router, you will need to forward the proper ports to the computer.

If you have a dynamic IP address, which is normal for residential connections, you can use a service like DYNDNS.ORG to get a domain name that automatically updates if your IP address changes. Instead of an IP address, you could have something like myhouse.dyndns.org to type in.

And if you just want access to your Control Pages via a web browser, then you can use GoPrism.com to create a reflector that will take care of the complexities (dymanic IP address, firewalls, router config, etc.). But GoPrism.com only works for web/browser access, not native access using the Indigo 2 client itself.

Regards,
Matt
