Lately, I've heard a lot about the tempLinc, and almost no references to the RCS TXB-16 HVAC thermostat thing. I'm very interested in automating my thermostat in general, not just turning on and off my ac/heater, so I was going to buy one of these if I could make it work with Indigo.
What I really want to know is how involved the installation process is. I already have a heating/cooling system controlled by a box with a timer thing that changes the target temp based on the time of day (which doesn't work too well because of a very annoying interface). Do I simply replace that with the RCS TXB-16, or is there more to it.
Also, the unit seems to have a pretty advanced tempurature setting/reporting system based on preset dim level signals. Does indigo support preset dim levels, and would I be able to script that?
Any info on the unit is appreciated, as well as scripting info and previous experiences with the RCS TXB-16
