That looks very interesting. I was curious about the "individually addressable" functionality and how that might be defined with Z-Wave classes. Based on the manual I think that is just used for the "pixel animation" features. That is, I don't believe we'll be able to control the LEDs independently from one another, outside of the pre-defined effects. Regardless, still looks really interesting.

Agreed. I'm not one that would utilize the effects very much but it would be nice to have local control. I have no idea what would be involved in doing that with the Z-Wave protocol (or if it would even be possible).

Hmmm. I found this on the Inovelli forums (bolding mine): https://community.inovelli.com/t/rgbw-l ... t-cribs/24
Digital LED Display for Configuration: this serves two purposes – 1) It will allow you to configure the parameters from the LED strip itself and 2) For addressable LED’s, it will let the HUB know how many LED’s are in your setup even if you add sections
Example: If each 1ft strip has 20 LED’s, you would enter in the number of strips in your setup and the HUB will automatically calculate the number of LED’s in your setup. This is important because if you want to have cool effects, the HUB needs to know how many individual LED’s are in the strip.
They refer to the module as a "controller" and to Indigo (and other products) as a "hub" so you guys might want to reach out to Inovelli to see whether this device has some kind of API for the addressable bit.

EDIT: I also found this YouTube promo video on the product which says that you can make your own animations.

I've ordered one of these to try out. I'll reply back with my experiences once I have it.

What kind of support does Indigo have for this strip?

I've been looking in vain for more zwave RGB bulbs and ran across this. Looks interesting.
