Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

I think the battery will correct itself when Indigo next asks for a battery update - I think every 12 hours (or so) or on a server restart.
It may correct itself sooner but I do notice that Indigo thinks it is 4% at the moment according to the Sync. :?

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Oh, ok, I thought it get's the battery update also every 5 mins.
I will have an eye on it till tomorrow (the evening schedule is planned till 11pm, then the morning schedule from 5.30am to 8am).

Anyway, much more comfortable when it's warm in the office

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Jon,

the battery status shows now 15%.
I'm surprised they went down so fast from 100%.
Anyway, for now the TRV is working seems to keep the schedules and the temp.
Hope it will stay stable - bought two of them, but only the first is installed.

Thanks, Jon!

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Jon, so far everything is working fine, the battery level is at about 15-22%, I can leave with it so.

But another question: how are you heating your rooms?
I have the two schedules for morning/ evening, as well the ones for weekend.
But what about the time inbetween? Should I turn the heating off or set up another schedules just lowering the temperature?
Had did you realized that?

I set the temperature to 6 deg C which will effectively turn it off. :)

Ok, got it, set a second delayed action with a delta of xx degrees.
Thx and Merry Christmas, Jon!

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Jon, now I have again an issue, but this time with with the second TRV.
I've installed it yesterday in the kitchen, I was able to sync it, but it doesn't shows the temp.
And ( I thins that's the reason), it heats like hell...
I've already tried to set the heatpoint to 15 degrees or 6 degrees, this seems to work (at least in Indigo is showed), but the temp isn't recognized and the radiator body is still hot!
Wake-up time is set to 5 minutes.

Yassi

Update: And now I have this error message:

Code: Select all
Z-Wave Error                    send "Heizung Küche" change heat setpoint failed -- unknown temperature units

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Hi Yassi,
I assume this is the device we are talking about: https://www.eurotronic.org/fileadmin/us ... DA_eng.pdf

What happens (in Indigo) if you use the wheel on the Comet to change the temperature?

I would try and re-sync it as the next step to see if that corrects the temperature problem.

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Hi Jon,

yes, that's the device.

I've tried today, before I've posted, but it doesn't shows the temp (null) and shows the error log.

Now, the radiator isn't heating, or at least, it's colder, good sign.
But still the issue with the temp.

As far as I know, if I use the wheel, then no communication with Indigo is possible - for 2 hrs.

Can you see something about the temp sensor in the dump here?

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Hi Yassi,
Can't see anything wrong with the dump.

Have you tried waking it up - press the button in the battery compartment - that might cause the temperature to update?

If that doesn't work, try re-syncing. :)

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Jon,

everything is ok now.
I don't know why they are so complex to include/ sync.
BTW, thanks again for your support!

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Jon,

I still have an issue with one of these TRV's.
It's mine, in the office.
Every few weeks it happens that the radiator body is cold.
Thru the schedules is should be heating.
No warning or error to see in the logs.

When I try to wake it up (wake up time 5 minutes is already set - similiar to the other TRV in the kitchen), it shows only the temp (one of them, not the real one which should have at the time), and nothing else happens.
I have to remove the batteries and sync it again.
Then I have a low level of batteries. For example now, I started with fresh and no cheap ones on January 20th, now, after the resync I have a battery level of about 35% (before the resync it showed between 90-100%).

Today in the morning, the radiator body was again cold - it shout heat between 5.30am and 8am.

Do you have an idea what's going wrong here?

Thx,
Yassi

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Hi Yassi,
I assume that you are running ordinary schedules?
I would expect to see a message in the log at 5:30 a.m. that the schedule has run and Indigo has queued a setpoint change to the thermostat - is that happening?

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Hi Yassi,
Another thought - Have you done the reset process for the wakeup time as noted in my post here

I mention it again as you said the batteries had been taken out. :)

I think this issue will be hopefully fixed in a future Indigo update. :?:

Jon, yes, I have a normal schedule.
It also appears in the log, but nothing happens.

Code: Select all
01.02.2017 16:59:55
WebServer                       request to set variable "pi_IN_Alive" value to "{"program":"master","i2c":[],"pi":"0","ts":"1485964795=CEST"}" from 192.168.100.116
   Schedule                        Heizungssteuerung Büro Erdgeschoss Nachmittag
Z-Wave                          queued "Heizung Büro Edgeschoss" change heat setpoint to 21.0° for next awake notification
Z-Wave                          received "Heizung Küche" mode is heat
Z-Wave                          received "Heizung Küche" heat setpoint is 21.0 °C

To mention, it worked now for two day and since today in the morning the radiator is cold.

Th TRV in the kitchen (Heizung Küche) also send the update to the log, the one isn't working (Büro Ergeschoss) not.
