[SOLVED]Growl Version 2.1.1

Hello,

I upgraded yesterday the growl app from the apple store to version 2.1.1 and i am getting the following error message:

00 Growl Error Unable to send Growl v1.3 Notification - make sure you have the correct version selected in the Growl plugin preferences
(61, 'Connection refused')

Is this an incompatibility of Indigo plugin with the the new version of Growl ?
If yes any ideas how to roll back Growl from the app store?

thanks
George

Re: Growl Version 2.1.1

In the Growl Plugin preferences, do you have Growl v1.3 or newer selected?

Re: Growl Version 2.1.1

Hello,

I have selected Growl 1.3 or newer.
I deleted the app Growl and reinstall it and it started to work.

thanks
George

Re: Growl Version 2.1.1

I had this issue too last night. It is a simple fix.
1. Make sure you update to 2.1.2.
2. Launch the Growl application after the update completes to finish the setup assistant.

Re: Growl Version 2.1.1

Just installed 2.1.3 and can't seem to get it to work.
Anyone else running 2.1.3?

Indigo 6.0.4 10.8

Thanks,

Carl

Yes. I am using version 6.0.18.

I got it to work. I had to uninstall Growl, reboot and then reinstall Growl. Now it is happy. Odd...

Re: [SOLVED]Growl Version 2.1.1

I had this working before I upgraded my server but now I'm confused about how it ever worked.
I have Growl installed and Indigo is listed as an app in it. I had been receiving alerts on
my phone using Prowl which now isn't working.
I guess my question is how does Growl know how to send to Prowl? I don't see any prefs
in Growl about account info where to send the alerts.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,

Carl

Re: [SOLVED]Growl Version 2.1.1

Seems there is supposed to be a Prowl listed in the display prefs ,which
on my Growl 1.2 install , isn't showing.

Any idea how to add it? Been to the Growl site but can't find anything about Prowl not showing
in the display list.

Thanks,

Carl
