Three for the list...

  1. Allow an option to automatically reset the search field in the Home WIndow when switching between folders.
When searching all devices, and then switching to look at a specific folder, I often forget to delete the search and therefore miss some devices in the folder.
    -
  2. Add an option to disable an individual action in a Trigger or Action Group.
For example, in an MQTT trigger, I sometimes add a log action to log the received message
    Code: Select all
    %%d:<dev_id:last_topic%% %%d:<dev_id>:last_payload%%
This is handy for debugging. But, most of the time I do not need it. OTOH, having to recreate it is a pain.

    -
  3. Add the ability to update a plugin available from the Plugin Store from an Indigo client.
This would avoid the need to login to the server to do the update.
    -
None of these are critical, probably at best, nice-to-have.

As usual, thanks for all the work you, and other key volunteers put into this platform

Re: Three for the list...

If I had a pound for every time I messed up with (1) I would have enough for my years subscription :D Definitely a +1 for me.

Re: Three for the list...

If I had a pound for every wish list feature I’ve logged I think I’d have enough money to hire a developer to write all the required features and a team to fully test them and enough left over to buy some Gluten Free cereal (that stuffs getting expensive!)

That may be the general case. However, sometimes there is synergy and while doing one task, it might present a perfect time to do another. By having a queue of possible work items, it helps Matt & Jay make the best use of their time.

Re: Three for the list...

Durosity, yours are indeed at the top of the list. It is just that we have a special list for you

Seriously though, Richard is correct. The priority of the features plays a part when things get done, but so does the general direction / theme for the big releases, including what parts of the code are being touched (or sometimes completely re-written). Point being, every request is indeed useful in the big picture, so please keep them coming.
