I quite agree. Unless the pay rates of software engineers just crashed (they haven't) I can't see this being anything other than a very pleasant pastime for plugin developers.

Posted: Fri Jun 08, 2018 10:28 amJust to close this thread up a bit, the Plugin Store allows developers to specify a way for users to donate to a plugin developer. I've noticed a few have set it up for their plugins but I haven't really asked what kind of response they're getting.
