Leviton VRCS2

While I have had vera sticking around to handle leviton scene controllers and locks via Indigo, I want to ask when these items will be directly supported.

Vera appears to have lost the ability to communicate with my front post lights , and I really do not have the inclanation to waste time on vera. I have wasted too much time on vera!

Any chance version 7 of Indigo will support these items ?

Improving Z-Wave scene controllers is on our to do list, but we don't pre-announce specific device support so no ETA on this specific device.

ok, thanks. I might try a breaker reset. Vera thinks she is successfully communication with the lights, but they do not respond, and the lights work fine manually..

Well, looks like Vera lives a bit longer with Wall Controllers. A breaker power cycle did the trick.

Maybe Wall controller support, lock support, Wink plugin / or a way to connect to clear connect devices, written by Indigo ? I used to like keeping my technology in separate baskets, as no solution was great at everything, but Indigo is great at everything it does, and I know when they release support for something, it will just work , I wont mind relying on Indigio for everything. Regression testing seems to be something these folks get, and we are not beta testers for them!

A lot of us are waiting with baited breath for 7 .

As far as lock support goes I know Matt & Jay mentioned a while back that there was a complicated, non-standard and expensive certification process to get Z-Wave locks working if you weren't an actual device, like Vera. I don't know if that is doable or not or if it's in v7 but that is my Vera's only job so if they do incorporate it then I'll have to find some poor soul to dump my Vera onto .

So, still having trouble with my VRCS2 under 7.0.2. Remember that the device appears as 3 devices in Indigo: The controller, the bottom switch, and the top switch. The problems are:

1. The controller cannot be turned on or off, but the UI shows the on/off controls anyway.

2. When the top switch is manually turned on, Indigo shows the controller as on also. It cannot be turned off in the UI.

3. When the bottom switch is turned on, Indigo does recognize the status change.

4. The "Send Status Request" button is disabled in the UI for all three devices.

I don't know if any of the scene functions work with this device; I haven't tried them.

Below is a debug log. The controller is device 138 (Third Floor Bath Controller), the bottom switch is 139 (Third Floor Bath Fan), and the top switch is 140(Third Floor Bath Lights). In this log, I've turned the bottom switch on and back off twice, then turned the top switch on and back off twice. Glad to help debug this further, but please can we get this to work?

Support for this one didn't make it into 7.0, but it is still on the request list. We'll be adding additional Z-Wave hardware support in upcoming minor releases.

I understand that you're still working on specific support for this, but please have a look at the log because I think it might indicate a general bug:

Notice the "8B" in there. That looks to me like a status change for node 139, but you are ignoring it. You shouldn't be ignoring a status change for any device, should you?

I've worked around the problem for now by looking for the raw Z-Wave and updating the status by hand, but this seems like a bug to fix, not a feature to add. Am I off base on this?

8B is the node ID. The command (2C) is scene related, but it isn't the central scene class that Indigo supports currently. So it isn't a bug to fix but rather a feature to implement.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. I'll keep my workaround in place, and I look forward to a future update with this implemented.
