Given the complexity of how the Indigo object model and API works in python, it is unlikely we will be providing a similar ruby interface. I did see some discussions online about running Ruby in python that might be helpful:

That said, it will probably be easier just for you to pick up the python syntax you need. Writing basic scripts in python that communicate with Indigo are pretty easy, so if you already know a couple of other languages then python is likely to be easy to pickup. Here is a tutorial that has some useful python code snippets to illustrate how it works.
