Status request/update on startup

Is it possible to do a status-update scan of all hard wired devices after server startup?

It would have to include stepped delays so not to flood the Zwave network.

For example, my TV (TKB plug socket) was already on when Indigo restarted yesterday - so none of my triggers or schedules that refer to the TVs current state would run until I manually turned the TV device on.

It's not built-in, but you could write a script to do it.

I know it's not built in, and I know I could write a script - but is this something that could be considered for future?

Every Indigo user would surely want their system to accurately reflect their house status after startup ASAP?

Re: Status request/update on startup

When I last ran it I noticed the site survey plugin updated statuses that were out of date.. Perhaps you just just execute that every startup?

Actually, once I found it, called Survey 2, I had come across it - but it was only Insteon in its early days.

Re: Status request/update on startup

How long does one pass take, and where do the results appear?

Using IT2's new log search, I can see 'Survey Pass - 1' and '1 Pass Survey Requested', 14 minutes and 55 seconds ago but there's no Safari browser opened, no Surveys folder in .../Documents/ and nothing further in the log? (I've read various comments and Benjamin's blog saying it should be in one of those places, but it's in none!)

We've had very few requests for this. I suspect it's because it just doesn't happen enough for it to be a widely requested feature. And, since there are ways to accomplish it if an immediate update is desired, it just hasn't made it very high up the priority list. It is there, just low priority.

For me, outages are so infrequent and short in duration that I never really notice Indigo being out of sync. I suspect that's the majority experience.
