Amazon Echo/Hue Bulb Status/Sonos

I am trying to work around the Amazon Echo control of Philips Hue Bulbs to turn my Sonos system on and off. I have a lamp with a hue bulb controlled by the Echo. I tried to set up a trigger that uses the status of the device (If Hue Bulb X status is "Off" then...turn off my Sonos (Using the Sonus plugin). I have used this to turn non hue lights off by triggering their on/off from the status of the hue light. Am I wasting my time or should this direction work.

I'm finding ways to integrate Indigo and Echo. My real hope is that Amazon builds in control for Sonos soon.

I imagine the Echo wouldn't be able to hear commands any more with Sonos playing in the background. When it plays its own music, it's removing that music from the incoming noise to separate out your voice.

Would love to see Sonos supported though, as I have 4 around the house.
