[Feature Request] August Connect Integration

"Owners of the Yves Behar-designed August Smart Lock now have the option to control the device from their iPhone even when they're out of the house thanks to the new August Connect accessory announced by the company at this week's Consumer Electronics Show. The company also announced the release of a private API that will allow some hardware partners — such as Logitech and SmartThings — to integrate August into other home automation systems."

This is worth a dev to dev phone call? I currently have a Veralite and a Kwikset Z-Wave lock. Works but really wonky.

Would love this. I had an August lock in my hand at the Apple Store yesterday but didn't pull the trigger because I wanted more than just Bluetooth/phone proximity control.

Anything on this yet? I have had an August lock for about a month and the "Connect" is due to arrive tomorrow. While I am sure the iPhone App will be useful, would be much better if I could integrate into Indigo. Are their any specs available on the August API?

I love the feature set of these locks and want to install one or two but will not until there is integration into Indigo.

Please respond with an update. "it's on the list" but what is the status? Is there code in test?

We have not gotten to investigating this one yet. Keep in mind we have dozens and dozens of hardware requests. We will be contacting them to see if they can provide us with API details.

If there's a publicly available API, then there's no stopping a 3rd party developer from adding it...

I just had a look; the API isn't openly published yet, but you can register to become a partner - whether plugin devs would be accepted, someone with a lock would have to try.

The lock does however work with HomeKit if that helps? (I'm not sure?)

Not exactly on point but related; the Kevo Plus gives the same functionality to the kwikset Kevo locks and I've heard there's a monitor only Homekit interface for it. If you're looking into adding locks, I'd like to see that one looked as well.

It should be noted that with FlyingDiver's IFTTT plugin, you can get that state of your lock into a Indigo variable. I haven't figure out how useful this is just yet.

Update: The delay is about 8 to 10 seconds.
