z-wave gas meter

Hello everyone.
I'd like to keep an eye on the gas meter, and I found this article:

http://zwaveit.com/sensors/powermetering/NOQ_NQ-9121

Do you think that can be controlled by Indigo?
Thanks in advance.

Re: z-wave gas meter

There's a good ZWave manual on that page - it looks like a simple sensor device which should therefore work with Indigo once a model definition has been released.

Matt/Jay will be able to answer fully once they've read that manual.

Re: z-wave gas meter

I have the power meter version of this device which works fine with Indigo, It provides total power usage data. My gas meter is too old to use the gas version.

Yep, the gas meter likely works now but if it doesn't we can work with you to get the model definition tweaked in Indigo so that it does.

Re: z-wave gas meter

I have that very gas meter connected to indigo at the moment, while the unit is recognised and syncs, the only output that works is the battery level. Indigo shows it as a "simple meter"
Now maybe I'm doing something wrong, but if I am I can't figure out what!

Re: z-wave gas meter

From Indigo's device dialog re-Define/Sync the module, then copy/paste the Event Log results into a reply for me. That will give us more detailed information so we can try to build an Indigo model definition for it.

Re: z-wave gas meter

This thread is old but I wanted to follow-up that Indigo 7.0 is now available (has been for a while). It adds supports for dozens of new Z-Wave devices, including the NorthQ Gas Meter (NQ-9121). I'm not sure if anyone has tested this one yet, so let us know if you have any problems.
