Re: Image wrong size in CP design right size in browser

Ok

Still having issues with this.

Indigo 7.03

This is what I see when designing the Control Page:

This is the Preview:
Control%20Page%20-%20Preview.jpeg
[/img]

This it on iOS
[img]
Control%20Page%20-%20%20iOS.PNG
[/img]

This is it on Domotics Pad Native:
Control%20Page%20-%20Domotics%20Pad%20Native.png
[/img]

This is it on Domotics pad Web:

[/img]

I have deleted images, Save and Closed the Control Page and re-added the image, no change.

So at the moment the design page is showing an old version of the image that no longer exists and has been deleted and Trash emptied.

The Preview is showing something else.

The iOS version looks great, not like the preview or design page.

The Domotics Pad versions for Web and Native are just weird.

Any ideas on

1. How to get the Design Page to be an accurate representation of the images

2. How to get the preview to reflect the Design Page

3. How to keep the iOS version looking good while looking good on Android

4. How to get the Android Control pages to look like the iOS version.

Or do i have to make one version of each page for each target interface, one for Webpage viewing, one for iOS, one for Android Web /Native?

Other Control Pages look good across all views without having to segregate them

Re: Image wrong size in CP design right size in browser

Found a work around!

I deleted the Luminance Graph (yellow).

Saved the Control page.

Shutdown Indigo.

Restarted Indigo

Re- added Luminance Graph.

Saved and Exit.

Control Page now good on all interfaces, design, preview, iOS and Android.

Something is amiss here in the Control Page Design me thinks if it requires an App shutdown and restart to work.

Am I missing something ?

Re: Image wrong size in CP design right size in browser

Indigo internally caches the dimensions of the image so it can construct the proper layout, but isn't smart/good about updating that cache if the dimensions are ever changed. On our list to improve.

We need to improve this, but if you were to select a different image then re-select the original (in the popup menu) it should recalculate its dimensions. Also might need to quit and relaunch the Indigo client so that it clears its cache.

We did add an option to clear the image cache in Indigo Touch, but the Indigo Client still needs some work.

Matt, is it possible for you to make an option in Indigo Touch to clear the cache automatically every hour?
Because the IndigoPlot (Heuristic-Variable) images (of the energy values etc.) are sometimes a couple of days old at the iPad...
(and manually clear the cache at the iPad every hour is not real home automation  )

Thanks and kind regards,

John

Re: Image wrong size in CP design right size in browser

So the images are being used as variable value or device states (not refreshing images), and the images are dynamically being generated / changed? Indigo Touch definitely doesn't currently handle that case. It will skip caching refreshing images since those are dynamic, but it presumes device state and variable value images are static.

Thanks for the info. These images are saved from Indigo Plot as "Heuristic Variables".
The name is always the same but the (energy/weather) content is every 5 minutes different.

Displaying this kind of images in Safari works perfect and changes every 5 minutes..
