Two server actions for button

Hi,

I'm trying to use a power button to display my home alarm status. I would like the button to run a disarm action group when the button is turned off and an arm action group when it's turned on. I currently only see an option to run one server action when the button is turned on. Is there a way to accomplish what I'm truing to do without using two buttons?

Thanks,

James

Re: Two server actions for button

This is, unfortunately, another example of a scenario which is coming up regularly at the moment but doesn't have a UI-only solution without the use of scripts.

Instead, have a look at [ANSWERED]: Making a action group toggle on/off...

It's a different question, but the same theory - how to run different action groups by toggling a button/state.

Re: Two server actions for button

I am not sure to have understood your question, but with the button on the control page you can toggle a variable; when the variable becomes true you can fire Action Group 1 and when becomes false you can fire Action Group 2.

Aha - that's a good answer that hasn't been suggested in the other question threads.
