Camera controls

Hi all,

I am using a Foscam camera which I control using Evocam + AppleScript (upload to my NAS, start video when Fibaro Motion Sensor detects motion and so on).
I have now integrated a refreshing URL into my Control Page and I would like to put also PTZ commands, IR on/off, is it possible?
As far as I remember, IR on/off can be do using http/cgi script. Can I call an external URL from a CP using a button?

Thanks
Marco

Re: Camera controls

Hi Marco,

I'm doing just that.
I first created action groups for all required camera commands, and then I set up virtual devices to control these action groups.
These virtual devices go onto the Control Page just like any regular device.

Re: Camera controls

I'm doing PTZ and IR commands, but I don't use Foscam nor Evocam...

Re: Camera controls

Ok, thanks.
I tried (at the moment only with Safari) to using CGI/HTTP commands and it works fine :)
I will try to include everything in a CP

Thanks anyway

Re: Camera controls

Noob question:

How do you add camera output to a control page? i have the URL from the web that requires a username and password but that does not seem to work.

It's not rocket science...

Re: Camera controls

I did simply using "Refreshing URL" or something similar, I do not have Indigo here right now.

Re: Camera controls

Hi,

Re displaying refreshing image feeds from IP Cams, I asked the same question a few months ago and the answer I got from another member is below.....and its been working great for me, :D :D

Thanks,

Dave

.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Refreshing Image URL
Set Refresh rate to "Continuous" for smooth video <-- uses more bandwidth (I typically use 1 second)

For URL, use the following:
H264 Cameras:

http://10.0.6.182:8082/cgi-bin/CGIProxy ... pwd=donkey

replace "10.0.6.182:8082" with URL of your camera
replace "master" with your username for camera
replace "donkey" with your password for camera

MJPEG Cameras:

http://10.0.6.122:82/snapshot.cgi?user= ... pwd=donkey

replace "10/0/6/122:82" with URL of your camera
replace "master" with your username for camera
replace "donkey" with your password for camera
