[SOLVED]: Mavericks and refreshing URLs

I bit the bullet and upgraded the Mac Mini to Mavericks.

Now none of the refreshing URLs work on my control pages (they are all gnuplot PNG outputs).

My log file is full of: urlopen error (61, 'Connection refused').

I'm assuming this is because Web Sharing has been removed from Mavericks?

Anyone else who regularly loads image files via refreshing URLs, how did you get around this when 'upgrading' to Mavericks?

Sam.

Re: Mavericks and refreshing URLs

My server runs on an iMac using 10.9.5 and I have no trouble loading Gnuplot graphics using:

Code: Select all
file:////Users/USERNAME/Dropbox/Public/wind.png

Re: Mavericks and refreshing URLs

The apache web server is still installed in Mavericks, Apple just took out the UI for controlling it.

I hadn't realised I could use file instead of http in there and this feels a much better solution, many thanks.

Thanks Joe - this also worked, but I will will stick with the file method, rather than starting another webserver on the same machine.
