[ANSWERED]Starting my first control page and have questions

What I'm missing is how do I get a control to run an action group? I.E., I want to turn on three light I define in an action group. Which client action would I use to link it back to the action group?

Also if I want to use custom graphics do I just copy the .png files into the same directory as the default images?

Lastly, how do you set up an client action to just execute (on off device) without the popup UI control appearing?

The action group is a little tricky. Here's what I would do. Set up a virtual device that turns on and off. Next set a trigger to watch for that device to turn on. Have the trigger fire the action group, and as a part of the action group, turn the virtual device off again (the last action.)

With the custom images, essentially yes. Look at the naming convention of the images and copy their format (image+.png, image+on.png)

With the method I suggest above, it would depend on the actions you specify. I tested an all lights on action group and it worked well.

That seems a bit excessive in order to just execute an action group... why not just use the Server Action of "Execute Action Group"?

Don't use the client action for toggles.. if you use the server actions option there's an option to toggle device. From memory when you select a device in the control page editor that's the default action that'll come up.

I'm almost there thanks to your help! I'm new to Control Pages...

I have Action Groups "Evening On" and "Evening Off" to turn on / off my main evening lighting. I would like an icon on my Control Page to toggle my Evening on and off. But on the Control Page when I choose Server actions (Edit Actions) > Server Actions > I only see "Execute Action Group", no option to toggle an Action Group.

Is there a straightforward way to toggle my action group on / off from one icon on the control page?

You'd need to create an action group that has the toggle action in it for what you need to toggle

Not currently (but it is on the feature request list). You can, on a single control page control item, have multiple Toggle style actions if you want. Another approach that might work well in this case is to use a Device Group.
