Can Indigo run a Telnet session

Hi, I have a set of motorized Hunter Douglas blinds. I have discovered I can control them from my MACs terminal window via Telnet. I'm hoping I can somehow easily create an action that will establish a session from within Indigo and then send a simple text string command.

Any help with this would be really appreciated since the alternative would be to disassemble a Hunter Douglas remote and wire in relays (no fun). BTW, I'm on the latest build of Indigo.

User Perry's Cynical Network plugin: http://www.cynic.org/indigo/plugins/online/network.html

FYI - Telnet is TCP to port 21 by default.

Thanks Joe, I did notice the Cynical Network plugin, but when I looked at it nothing in the write-up mentioned telnet - I need to be on port 522, if it works it will be the coolest - thanks so much for the help. I was a long long time HS user - in less than 1 month I have been doing so much more with Indigo (and so much more reliably) it is the best thing since sliced bread. I started with home automation on my 128k MAC back in the late 80's now finally making some great progress :D

You can specify the port.

Telnet is actually the name of the program (on UNIX), not the protocol. ;)

Wow - so easy and it worked great - I O U 1 Joe - this plugin (and other plugins) working in conjunction with the Alexa capability of Indigo equals some amazing HA opportunities. I can't wait to see what is coming in V7. Thanks again for the help....

You owe Perry, not me. ;)

OTOH, I do have a couple plugins you might want to try out...

Can you share the details of your Mac terminal Hunter Douglas automation approach? I'm becoming a Hunter Douglas customer with the first phase of my home's blinds updates arriving next week. I see their hub has a serial connection and a string protocol, but have not explored this further. Thank you.
