New Action Group = Spinning Beach ball for 8 seconds

When I go to create a new action group it takes about 8 seconds to open the Create New Action Group dialogue. I get a spinning beach ball while it is waiting to open the dialogue.

I am running Indigo 6.0.18 under Mavericks 10.9.5 on a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo (8 GB) 2010 Mac Mini fitted with a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB. My Indigo database size is 2.5MB in size and I have about 500 Action Groups defined. The overall CPU usage seems low until I open the dialogue and the Indigo goes to about 40+% CPU utilisation.

Is this to be expected or is there something I can do to optimise the performance?

Thanks for any guidance :)

That's definitely not normal. I suspect you have a plugin that's not behaving very well so when we open the dialog and try to get a list of actions from some plugin it's talking a long time to reply. Try disabling 3rd party plugins one at a time to see if you can find the one that's misbehaving.

I have disabled all plugins and restarted the server and still get the 8 second delay. :?

Disable interfaces as well (INSTEON and Z-Wave), and disable all schedules that might be executing scripts.

If that doesn't help then create a new temporary database and see if the problem occurs there as well.

How did all this resolve itself?

Apologies, meant to post a reply but forgot

The short answer is I don't know :?

It was on my to do list to sort out and then it went away and I didn't notice that it had gone as everything was working normally and I wasn't getting the annoying prompt (spinning beach ball) to remind me to sort it out. :)
