[ANSWERED]: Current time condition firing always

Hi!

I have schedule which is set to execute every hour with condition "current time is between 08:00:00 and 23:00:00" and action to set variable to false. However, this schedule sets variable every time it runs, not as it should between 8 am and 11pm.

I've checked my OSX time zone settings and they should be fine. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? :?:

Re: Hourly schedule with current time condition firing alway

What version of Indigo are you running? I have a vague recollection of a bug with time between conditionals but that was a long time ago.

Also press the Insert into Event Log Window button in the condition UI and copy/paste the Event Log result into a forum reply for me.

6.0.15 Lite if I remember right, I will check that when I get home and post event log results also.

Okay, it is either a configuration issue or a new bug. We'll dig more into it after we have the Event Log results.

Re: [ANSWERED]: Current time condition firing always

Version: 6.0.15 Lite

Code: Select all
"Any" "of the following rules are true"
"If current time" "is not between" "08:00:00" "and" "20:30:00"

Looks like you have "not between" selected instead of "between."

Re: [ANSWERED]: Current time condition firing always

Well, I accidentally copied log from other schedule which I had. Same problem with that one also - only difference is that its using "not between" condition. Sorry, no easy solution with this one!

Triple check your Schedules and their settings. Make sure your other schedule isn't setting the variable as well.

I'm not able to reproduce the problem here at all (just tried).

Re: [ANSWERED]: Current time condition firing always

Thanks for your suggestions but still no cigar. I've modified my original schedules so that they run 5 minutes after each other now and one has current time condition:
Code: Select all
"Any" "of the following rules are true"
"If current time" "is not between" "08:00:00" "and" "20:30:00"
and other one:
Code: Select all
"Any" "of the following rules are true"
"If current time" "is between" "08:00:00" "and" "20:30:00"
.

And the first one sets variable kidsBedTime to TRUE and latter one to FALSE.

Now, they both set the variable by the action no matter when schedule is executed. And even when I run them manually by clicking "Execute actions now" button, they still don't obey the condition.

Any ideas how to debug this? I'm pretty much clueless now... :(

Modify them both so they run every 8, then wait 45 seconds and copy/paste the Event Log results for me.

8 what? 8am or every 8 mins/hours?

Hi!

It seems that "sleeping on it" has solved this issue! :)

This morning I logged in to my Indigo server to change those schedules, I noticed that OSX has rebooted and now schedules work as they should. Dont have clue why OSX booted but now everything works as expected.

My guess is that some OSX internal service had some issues and that caused the "current time" malfunction.
