Mis-Firing Trigger

Have an odd thing happening with a simple trigger.
I have one setup to set the current time to a variable if another variable has any change.
The variable that fires the trigger isn't changing but the trigger is setting the current time
to the other variable every minute.
Also odd is that nothing shows in the log.

Maybe someone else has seen this happen?
Doesn't seem to be any fix.

Indigo 6.1.4 10.6.8

Thanks,

Carl

Re: Mis-Firing Trigger

If there isn't anything in the log, then I don't think the Trigger is firing. Could there be something else (plugin/script) modifying the variable?

Re: Mis-Firing Trigger

No other script or links are associated with it.
Today it has stopped for a few hours. Can't begin to imagine what could be happpening.

The Action for the trigger is inserting a variable value into another variable.
I'll try using a script to change it and see what happens.

Thanks,

Carl

Re: Mis-Firing Trigger

Using a script to insert the current time into a variable has no issues.
Switching back to the insert variable into a variable method has it happening
every time the time changes...every minute.

Still nothing showing in the log.

Thanks,

Carl

Re: Mis-Firing Trigger

If you disable the Trigger that appears to fire every minute by right-clicking on it and choosing the Disable Event menu item, does it stop triggering?

And do you have the Hide trigger executions in Event Log checkbox enabled on the trigger? That would explain why it isn't getting logged.

Re: Mis-Firing Trigger

Yes, when I disabled the trigger it stopped happening. Re-enabling resumed the problem.
Also yes, doh, I somehow had the hide log box checked.

I reset it up and am letting it run. I'll post back if it starts happening again.

Thanks,

Carl
