Check sensor after scheduled action.

I'm sure I'm overlooking something, so forgive me if this is beginner-level stuff.

I've got a MI lock set with the Insteon 2862 Controller for it. In the deadbolt hole, I've got the Insteon 2845 hidden sensor, situated so that when the deadbolt is locked, it presses the trigger (indicating a successful lock). The lock is on a schedule to lock at 10PM; I've got no issues with that part.

What I'm trying to accomplish is after the scheduled door lock, I want to immediately read the sensor to make sure the door locks, and then execute another action. I thought about making another scheduled action with a condition for the sensor, but that seems clunky, and plus it looks like I might have to wait a full minute for that to fire.

I'm attaching screenshots of my current scheduled action. There are no conditions on it.

Re: Check sensor after scheduled action.

There are a variety of ways to accomplish this. Another schedule is certainly one way of doing it, and probably the approach I'd take. You could also write a script that's kicked off as another action on your current schedule that waits for a brief time then checks the status of the sensor. You could also have an action that starts a short timer and a trigger that fires when the timer goes off with a condition that the sensor is closed.

Re: Check sensor after scheduled action.

I tried the second option, and it actually worked quite well. Thanks for the help!
