Re: Recommended Scene Controller?

This thread is old but I wanted to follow-up that Indigo 7.0 is now available (has been for a while). It adds supports for dozens of new Z-Wave devices, including several of the Nodon modules and the Remotec Scene Master (ZRC-90). Additionally, forum user howartp has created a very useful plugin, ZWave Scene Controller, for triggering off of arbitrary scene commands.

Re: Recommended Scene Controller?

Just synced a new Remotec ZRC-90 Scene Master. The device synced first time and works perfectly. It is an 8 button controller which the manual says "you can control 16 different actions". This isn't entirely true - it actually supports 24 different actions - each button can be used for single press, double press or long press. Only problem is to remember what each button and press will do..
Keep up the good work Matt & Jay!

How big is it? Large enough for stick on labels (with teeny tiny print) by each button maybe?

Re: Recommended Scene Controller?

Teeny tiny is too big!

It's about the size of iPhone 5 etc, ie before Apple turned them into mini iPads.

I understand where Colly is coming from, and it depends on the nature of its use, but I've learnt mine reasonably well.

Single click is on, double is off, for most of mine.

1) Fan
2) Lamp
3) Sleep time (sets a variable)
5) TV
6) Light (rarely used, but 6 is under 2)
7) Mute Airfoil in my room only
8) All Off

2+6 held down brighten/dim the light when it is on.

I think you've the right idea - each button does On & Off.
In relation to the size it fits nicely into your hand. I reckon I'll permanently place it in the main bedroom and have it associated with morning and night scenes. Other possibility would be at my back door for entry and exit scenes.
@howartp - curious as to where you've found the best place for them??

Re: Recommended Scene Controller?

Mines by my bed - I'm 33 still living at home, so my bedroom was the first place I automated. :-)

My sister bought me https://www.gettingpersonal.co.uk/gifts ... p-desk.htm - great for both iPhone and ZRC-90!

The buttons look to be blocked from that angle, but they're not.
