Garage Light Trigger Help

Today I installed a basic On/Off Switch in the garage. I use VeraBridge Plugin to control the Linear Garage Door Opener. Off being Closed On being Open. I am now trying to trigger the lights to come on when the Garage Door Opens but only if it is dark out.

I set the Trigger to Device State Changed - Garage Door Opener - On/Off State Becomes On

Condition - If condition match rules ALL - If Dark

Action Turn On Garage Lights

The problem I am having is it turns the lights on when it opens and closes the Garage Door. What am I doing wrong. Triggers always seem to get me.

Without knowing how your bridged device works, it's hard to tell. The trigger definition looks correct. What shows up in the event log when the door opens and closes? I ask because if you use the Insteon solution rather than the Z-Wave solution and trigger off the output (rather than the input) you'd see the same behavior: the output opens briefly (which is what causes the door to open) then closes. The input, which represents the sensor, is what represents the state of the door (open/closed).
