Powerlinc to Z-Wave Switch

For the longest time I've been on a Powerlinc interface, but recent upgrades to our furnace / HVAC are requiring me to switch over to using Z-Wave. Can I still control all my Insteon devices with a Z-Wave Z-Stick interface? I have an dual band access point if that makes a difference. Very new to anything Z-Wave.

No - Z-Wave and Insteon are two completely separate technologies. You'll need to keep the 2413U for Indigo to talk to your Insteon devices. You can use both the PowerLinc and the Z-Stick at the same time however.

Re: Powerlinc to Z-Wave Switch

Ok. So I need an Insteon and Z-Wave interface, but Indigo can use both at the same time. Since my PowerLinc seems to have died, would I be better off:

1) Simply replace the Powerlinc 2413U with another 2413U
2) Replace the Powerlinc 2413U with a 2448A7 USB Stick controller
3) Replace the Powerlinc with a 2245-222 Insteon Hub

Which of these solutions would be best for reliability and compatibility with Indigo?

At least adding the Z-Wave interface should expand my options for devices...

Thanks!

Re: Powerlinc to Z-Wave Switch

#1 is recommended and #3 isn't possible (Indigo can't use the Hub).
