Recommendations for outdoor temperature sensors

I've been using an Aeon Labs DSB05 multi-sensor as a motion detector/temperature sensor on my back deck. It died a few months ago. When I contacted Aeon tech support, the reply was in broken English and showed absolutely no understanding of their product so I'm hesitant to go with another Aeon Labs product. Besides, the reviews for its replacement on Amazon are horrible. I've been looking for an outdoor temperature sensor (either INSTEON or Z-Wave) but have come up blank. The only one on the Indigo store is a different protocol. Is anyone using an outdoor temperature sensor with Indigo that they like?

I like my Oregon Scientific sensors, but you have to have the RFXrec433E (rec in the US/Canada, trx in Europe). I've been using them for many years and they are quite reliable.

Re: Recommendations for outdoor temperature sensors

Thanks, Jay. Unfortunately the $120 interface on top of the sensors makes it cost-prohibitive just for temperature. If there's nothing else out there I guess I'll have to risk the Aeon Labs unit.
