Irrigation system / controller for Hunter

Dear Folks,

I am currently planning a irrigation system for my garden. I need up to 14 valves and I would like to control them with Indigo instead of using the Hunter control. Any thoughts on devices or gateways? How can I control the 14 Hunter valves (PGV 100 mmB)?

Best regards
Marcus

You can use an rpi with the pibeacon plugin. Add a 16 relay board that should be all you need.

You could also look at the OpenSprinkler solution. Works very well for me

Re: Irrigation system / controller for Hunter

Realise this is a little old but I use a bluespray which goes to 64 zones and does pretty much what all the other "smart watering systems" do. It has Ethernet connection - which I much prefer and It's not very expensive compared to some controllers and it has a solid restful interface / supported API. I've have a super basic plugin working (I only want to log whether it watered or not to add to my daily report) but it could easily be expanded to a full indigo watering system. Oh and best of all - their customer service is really good.

Wow, there are plenty of controllers available (in the US) for sprinklers. Thanks for sharing this.

However, as I do like playing around,I was finally able to built a SPS controlfor 24V and 230V collectors.

I kept my hunter: it was already installed and works great, just wanted a little more logic to prevent over-watering: http://forums.indigodomo.com/viewtopic.php?f=133&t=18242
