Re: Virtual dimmer / dimmer group

LOL - put the following in the Notes field for the device:

Code: Select all
- sample device -

It will magically start behaving like a real device...

OK, so what I'd do is create an X10 device (doesn't matter if you actually have any X10 devices or even an X10 interface) and use that as the "master". Then whenever there's any change in it's brightness, use the match brightness action for your other dimmers.

THANK YOU for this idea. Just solved a major point point for me. Happy I was just browsing this form :-)

Jay - I emailed you but probably going through the forum is better. I had to switch my Indigo setup to a new computer (Mac Mini died in a recent power outage in New York....).
I had some triggers, including a dummy X10 dimmer, that stopped working. When I try to recreate it, the "match brightness action" doesn't exist in the dropdown menu anymore....?

Re: Virtual dimmer / dimmer group

That indicates that there's something wrong with your Indigo installation. Rerun the installer and it should correct it.
