[ANSWERED]6 devices out of 35 that are reading "send failed

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong stop. I have some devices that are not working. I can't seem to trouble shoot why they have fallen off the grid. They are not in any one area of the house.

Any help???

Re: 6 devices out of 35 that are reading "send failed

Replied to your email, but here's the answer for anyone else:

Those errors mean that the PowerLinc is sending the command, but the device isn’t acknowledging it. That means there is something that’s interfering with the signal between the PowerLinc and the device(s). Signal issues can come from a variety of things: UPSs, CFL bulbs, plasma tvs, power strips, etc. It’s likely that either something that you’ve recently plugged in somewhere in your house has introduced noise or something that you already had is going bad and is causing noise.

There are a couple of ways to diagnose the problem: first, if you can think of anything you’ve plugged in recently unplug it and see if things settle down. If not, then try unplugging any of the things mentioned above. If all the devices that are failing happen to be on the same circuit, then it’s very likely that it’s something on that circuit. You can also try using a long outdoor extension cord to run from your PowerLinc to other rooms (different circuits) to see if that changes the failure pattern - it will change the signal path and might help narrow down if there’s a specific problem area in your house.

You can also check out the signal troubleshooting page for common causes and solutions to signal issues.
