An embedded appliance-style processor that handles the real-time/run-time functions of Indigo while using a Mac for the administrative/configuration task would be ideal.
Being able to install a $100 to $300 box as a "set it and forget it" appliance instead of a dedicated Mac would open up a lot of opportunities.
SmartThings, Apple HomeKit, & the plethora of vendor-provided hub/bridges are so limited in capability and configurability but the overhead of the platform for running Indigo is just too much of a barrier.
Consumers, DIY, and mid-range systems would really benefit with having Indigo as an option.
Right now, the only choice is a fully custom system or the really expensive high end "old school" systems like Crestron, Control4, and Savant.
