Moved House - How do I change the name of Indigo DB?

Hi

I named the Indigo DB when I started playing around with it with the street address of where I lived.

Now that I have moved is it possible to rename it to something abstract?

I have looked around but can't see anything obvious.

Thanks

Mike

Here's how I would do it.

1. Stop the Indigo server.
2. Exit Indigo.
3. Navigate to the Indigo databases folder.
4. Highlight your database and select CMD-D to duplicate it.
5. Rename the x copy.indiDb file to your preferred name.
6. Restart Indigo - it will connect to your old database.
7. Hold down CTRL and click on the name of the db at the top of the window.
8. Browse to the databases folder and double click your newly named db.
9. Indigo should restart with the new db file.

You may not have to perform steps 1 and 2, but I like to do it to be extra sure that all handles on the db file are released before duplicating it.

ETA: the Indigo databases folder is located at /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Databases/YOUR_DATABASE_NAME.indiDb
(Change the Indigo folder to your version if you're not on Indigo 7)

Indigo will actually find the active database file even if you rename it, so you can skip a bunch of steps above and just do:

1. Stop the Indigo server.
2. Navigate to the Indigo databases folder.
3. Rename the ***.indiDb file to your preferred name.
4. Restart Indigo

Sure. If you want to go with half as many steps and follow the direction of the guy that wrote the program, you can always do that too.
