PLugin Problems with Indigo 7

I've had a rough time with Indigo 7 since upgrading. Plug-ins just stop working.

This error pops up randomly:

The plug in is in my plugin folder but it's dimmed. So is the Z-wave plug in and Insteon Command plugin.. They are not in my Plugin drop down menu nor do they appear in Indigo Preferences. What's even more strange is that when I go in the Indigo 7 folder, I can't double click on these 2 plug ins to enable them. However if I right click and open with Indigo 7.02 , a pop up window opens saying the plug in is installed. There 's option to enable them. When I select enable I get this in my log:

However none of them appear any where in Indigo and I get the errors mentioned above.

I have tried reinstalling Indigo 7.02 several times but it didn't help. I moved my indigo 6 folder out of the Perceptive Automative folder in Application Support because I thought there might be a conflict.

Stop the Indigo Server, restart it, enable the Z-Wave interface (if it is disabled), then try to control a Z-Wave device. Copy/paste the entire Event Log window results of those steps and maybe it will give us a clue.

So I only have 1 Zwave device that you can turn on/off, a Z wave appliance module but it is no longer listed in my devices and it's no longer link to my Z Wave stick. I'll have to re-add that when I get home from work.

IF you notice right at the beginning of this log, the iTunes attachment scpt is loaded. But at the end of the log, I get an error saying it can't be found when the startup trigger tries to execute. It's in the attachment folder. I can choose it. Afterwards I execute the script and it runs fine.

A couple of notes on this. First, attachment AppleScripts are loaded by Indigo automatically on launch. They shouldn't be executed in Triggers, Schedules, etc. It looks like you have a Trigger (called "Itunes") that is trying to execute the attachment script but cannot find it. It probably shouldn't be doing that. Second, for controlling or integrating Indigo now we recommend using the iTunes plugin. It is more reliable and doesn't use any scripts.

It also looks like some plugins are getting started twice. Check your Plugin directory for anything that's not supposed to be there, like a folder of nested plugins.

I found the PrismReflector folder(November 14, 2016) and the Indigo Server Settings.indiPref file(Date Modified 1/21/2012) in my Preferences folder.


It's safe to delete these I assume? I haven't seen anything else jump out at me.

Yeah I know. I was just checking. I spoke too soon about the Backup plug in.

SO my Z wave appliance devices were installed after all. I guess I was a little sleepy at 4:40 in the morning!

Wen I disable Homebridge buddy, Phidgets and Alexa plugins, nothing else loads twice. But if I do those individually or as a group, they each reload themselves after the Z wave interface is loaded.

Open the Event Log file itself to see if the plugins are really loading twice (you can use the button in the Event Log window to open the log folder in the Finder to find the file). There is a buglet in the client that can cause log lines to be duplicated in the window on launch. It is just a UI bug in that the events aren't really happening twice. The log file is always accurate though, so check for the duplicates there.

Matt it looks like you are right.Here is the log file from the same events at the same time that I posted earlier. However I still haven't figured out the errors that I mentioned in the previous post. I disabled some older plugins and will monitor in the meantime.

Open the Event Log file itself to see if the plugins are really loading twice (you can use the button in the Event Log window to open the log folder in the Finder to find the file). There is a buglet in the client that can cause log lines to be duplicated in the window on launch. It is just a UI bug in that the events aren't really happening twice. The log file is always accurate though, so check for the duplicates there.
