Also, most battery powered devices stay awake for a good amount of time once power is restored - so try taking the batteries out for a minute or so then put them back. Then try the sync - it will likely work.

Or for a cheaper option for non Mac book owners. Tun team viewer on the Mac and log in from phone to press the sync button in indigo.
