[ANSWERED]How to Uninstall (not just De-Activate) a PlugIn?

I'm a new Indigo user and I've been trying-out a few PlugIns--some of which do not work for me (for whatever reason). I'd like to remove them but cannot find any docs for anything but disabling. I'm guessing there's a way to do it but as a newbie I'm unable to figure it out. Any pointers would be appreciated (thank you in advance!)

Once you have disabled a plugin, you can delete its file from the folder:

/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/Plugions (Disabled)

and if you want to be extra tidy, you can delete the plugin preferences file, located at:

/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/Preferences

Before you delete the prefs file indigo server has to be shut down. Otherwise it will recreate the prefs file when it saves the info on a regular basis I believe

Is this still accurate? I have disabled the nest plugins, deleted them, deleted the preferences, restarted indigo and they still show up. Can't get nest home installed again.

If your order above is what you did, I think you might need to try:

1. Disable the plugin(s).
2. Stop the Indigo Server.
3. Exit Indigo.
4. Delete the plugin files.
5. Delete the preferences files.
6. Restart Indigo Server.

Hopefully, that will get you where you want to go.

I tried the steps above and I still have NEST3 plugin showing in my plugins list. I have shutdown the server removed the directories and restarted the server. It still shows up (ahhhh). Do I have to backup the database and reinstall?

I promise - if the plugin is showing up in the list after a server restart, then it's in one of these directories:

Code: Select all
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/Plugins/
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/Plugins (Disabled)/

An Indigo reinstall (without completely uninstalling Indigo first) won't get rid of plugins, btw... ;)

The key is to stop/start the server, which is not the same as quitting and relaunching the app.

* Menu Bar: Indigo # -> Stop Server
* Start Local Server -> Start Server
