Anyway to keep it working if someone else logs in?!

Suspect I know the answer to this, having to use my machine I run Indigo’s on for some other duties which involves my wife logging in as her into the machine. We do this simply by switch user

Is there anyway at all indigo server can keep running in the background so my smarts keep working whilst she’s using the computer or is that a complete no no?

Think I remember seeing discussions on it a long time ago but my search skills are failing me
Thanks
Noel

Ps yes I know the answer is a dedicated Mac just trying to control cost ...so I can spend it on more dimmers

Thanks Ian, it’s running on a MacBook Air that’s permanently desk bound so tbh the answer is probably to buy a Mac mini. 2nd hand prices are high but I can get a Refurb one straight from Apple for £325 (exc vat as I can claim vat back), lowest spec will do the job easily I believe.

Actually, if you use fast user switching then the Indigo macOS account will keep running in the background and processing logic/schedules and sending commands to hardware. Just have to make sure the Mac remains awake and that the Indigo macOS account is logged in and running before fast user switching to a different account.

Great thanks Matt that’s awesome I’ll check that’s enabled and test a bit.
Be awesome if that is the case :)

Have to give her credit, she always remembers to log me back in afterwards!!

If you know each other’s passwords, why have different accounts?

So google drive sync can sync our documents, so chrome sign in has our bookmarks, favourites, passwords logins etc.
