I note there's an option to choose other themes for DomoPad. But I don't see any info on how to install them, or, as I imagine is necessary, to create them.

No, it is something that used to be in there but had to remove due to changes in the way later Android systems work. Hope to bring it back at some point but it will be very time consuming and have much higher priorities right now. Perhaps I should just hide it for now.
