Domotics Pad Privacy Policy

Domotics Pad Privacy Policy

SUMMARY
No data deemed "Personal and Sensitive Information" by Google is ever stored or collected by Domotics Pad, it's author, or any other 3rd party. It is only ever transmitted to your own Indigo server, and only if you have enabled that feature.

DETAILS
Domotics Pad requests access to two permissions which are considered "Personal and Sensitive Information" by Google - Camera access and Location data. On platforms where it is supported, these permissions are only requested whenever you turn on the features that utilize these permissions. On platforms where this is not possible, the permissions are requested upon installation.

The camera is only accessed when you have opted to wake the control page via facial recognition. No picture or video is ever captured by the application and the stream never leaves the device.

Location information is only accessed if you have chosen the option to Update Indigo with Status in the settings AND have ticked the option to Include Location. This information is only ever transmitted to the Indigo server to which you are connected.

FAQ

  1. Why is this Privacy Policy being posted now, has something changed?
Nothing has changed since the initial release of Domotics Pad - personal/private data was never collected and won't be; however, recent Google Play Store changes dictated that this be explicitly spelled out in writing.
