Yes, if the room is occupied and you'd like the lights to be adjusted as the ambient light decreases, that wouldn't work too well. It is possible to obtain the actual ambient light sensor value from the 2420M immediately after an ON or OFF message is sent using an INSTEON extended command, but doing so can be somewhat unreliable and requires a strong radio signal connection to the 2420M from the nearest dual-band INSTEON device.
