Powerlinc 2413U will not connect my 2019 MacBook Pro

Just a note on this. I started having all the same problems. 2017 MacBook running Big Sur. Working for years then it failed to establish a connection . Tried the numerous remedies in this thread and nothing was working. Then as a lark I decided to plug it into the USB 3 port of my USB-C dock and it started to work again. Hope it sticks.
